Baron Geisler: “Please don’t bash Liza”

BARON GEISLER – The actor took to social media to defend actress Liza Soberano after earning criticisms due to her statement about the poster of the movie “Tililing.”

On Monday, the Kapamilya star went to Twitter wherein she shared a photo of the poster accompanied by her disagreement.

“Really hoping that this movie will spread awareness and enlighten us on the struggles of dealing with mental health. But the poster? It’s a no for me. Mental health is NOT a joke. Stop the stigma,” Soberano wrote.

While some netizens are agreeing with the statement of Liza Soberano, there were some who bashed her for her sentiments.

This prompted Baron Geisler to defend Liza Soberano who noted in a Facebook post: “Please don’t bash Liza. Please be kind. Sometimes we get overprotective with our advocacies. She did not mean to look down on the poster.”

The award-winning actor added: “I believe she meant well, folks. Please be kind. Masakit ma-bash naranasan natin lahat ‘yan one way or another.”

On the other hand, Liza Soberano went to the micro-blogging site wherein she thanked Baron Geisler. She also apologized for tho those who got offended by her words.

“I’m afraid my intentions were misinterpreted. I always want the best for films that tap into mental health, so I wish this film all the best. Looking forward to seeing it,” she said.

Tililing is a movie about mental health that also stars Gina Pareño, Candy Pangilinan, Donnalyn Bartolome, Yumi Lacsamana, Cai Cortez and Chad Kinis.
