Baron Geisler: “Binato n’ya yung script sa mukha ko”
Baron Geisler shared his secret on how he became an effective and talented actor.
Baron started his career via ABS-CBN’s youth oriented show, “Ang TV,” until he was given a big break in the TV series, “Tabing Ilog.”
But before he became an effective actor, he experienced being thrown by a script on the face by Direk Andoy Ranay while taping Tabing Ilog. He said he will never forget such an incident.
“Nu’ng Tabing Ilog kasi, si Direk Andoy, alas dos ng umaga, blocking na. Kami doon kasi hindi na kami bina-blocking. Parang sinasabi nila, ‘Block yourselves. Matatanda na kayo,” he said.
“Pagdating na du’n sa take, hindi ko na alam linya ko. Eh, wala pa ako sa wisyo. So, binato n’ya yung script sa mukha ko,” he recalled.
Director Andoy told him: “Basahin mo yan!’ So, nag-walk out siya and I felt so guilty and I said, ‘I don’t want that to happen to me ever again.’ So, magmula nu’n, naging ready na ako sa bawat eksena.”
Baron Geisler is also thankful for the late actor Johnny Delgado who helped him to become an effective actor now.
Meanwhile, Baron said that he’s willing to share whatever he has learned to aspiring actors thru workshops if given a chance at Viva Artists Agency.
Baron is currently living in Cebu with his partner Jamie and daughter Talitha.
