Veteran singer Pilita Corales has broken her silence on the network transfer of her granddaughter Janine Gutierrez to ABS-CBN.
In an interview, the 81-year-old OPM artist said that she’s happy for Janine.
“I am very happy for her and I want to wish her all best,” she said.
It was just recently when she signed a contract with ABS-CBN.
This came after she earned two major best actress awards from the Gawad Urian and FAMAS.
“After winning best actress, she can do anything she wants, kahit na villain. She can do any role because she is serious with her work,” Pilita Corales said.
She quipped: “She’ll do very well and besides she looks like her grandmother!”
Meanwhile, the Asia’s Queen of Song also sees no issues if she portray the role of Valentina, the snake lady nemesis of Darna.
When it comes to her lovelife, she sees no problem about it as well as she stressed: “Mabait naman si Rayver (Cruz)!”
Janine Gutierrez, the daughter of Ramon Christopher Gutierrez and Lotlot de Leon, started her showbiz career via My Beloved in 2012 on GMA-7.
Her last project on Kapuso Network is via “Dragon Lady.”
