Ice Seguerra remembered his late father.
Ice Seguerra credited his mother who taught him how to sing, but he had his late father to thank when it comes to his love for singing.
Ice lost his father, who he fondly called him “pogi,” last November 15, 2020.
He couldn’t help but to share memories of his late father through Instagram on November 29, telling his fans that the night hits differently when he’s the only one left awake.
“Si mama ang unang nagturo sa akin kumanta pero kay erpats ko nakuha ‘yung hilig sa pagkanta,” Ice said.

Ice first shared about his father’s battle with prostate cancer on his Instagram account last March 26, saying that his father’s cancer had metastasized to the bones.
Last August, Ice said that one good thing his father’s cancer gave them was that it brought their family even closer.
According to him, he and his father were known for never sharing the microphone.
Even in his last moments, Ice’s father would still make him sing and would try to sing along, even though his disease made it difficult for him.
“Kahit may sakit siyang nararamdaman, you could see his eyes light up. Pati mga mata niya, nakikikanta. Ngayon, tahimik. Nakakabingi. Namimiss ko yung boses mo, Pogi,” Ice said.
