Isabelle Daza: “it doesn’t make me less Filipino.”
Actress-host Isabelle Daza responded to a basher commenting on her post that Filipinos are copying everything from the Western countries.
Recently, the 32-year-old star went to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein she posted a photo of herself accompanied by the caption: “Hosted a friendsgiving brunch and marinated the turkey overnight in a salt ice bath. Served with 3 different sauces: homemade gravy, mushroom porcini cream and cranberry with portwine. 🤘🏽 also had yummy sides : guava macopa salad, roblechon potato gratin and some brussle sprouts with chestnut pancetta. I realized i should have taken a pic of the food.”
Her post generated reactions and comments from the netizens.
One of the remarks that caught her attention is from a netizen with the handle name @khunhc who wrote: “Philippino copying everything the Western countries did.. Never see them promoting their own culture, may be they don’t have one😢.”
Isabelle Daza couldn’t help but respond to the basher’s sentiment.
She said: “to answer your question i can eat turkey and celebrate friendsgiving with new friends who have welcomed us in a new country. And it doesn’t make me less Filipino.”
Followers of the actress then came to defend her from the basher.
Meanwhile, Isabelle Daza, the daughter of Miss Universe 1969 titleholder Gloria Diaz is considered one of the famous actresses of her generation.
She’s now one of the hosts of Lunch Out Loud which premieres on TV5.

Foreigner ba yung nag-comment or Filipino din? Ano reason niya for that comment? Mabigat yung comment niya dahil ito ay patama sa ating mga Filipino. Hindi lang kay Isabelle kundi sa lahat ng Filipino sa mundo. Or maybe it is just plain INGGIT. Baka naman gusto lang humingi ng handa ni Isabelle?
