Richard Yap is now a Kapuso
Former Kapamilya star Richard Yap is now a Kapuso actor.
The 53-year-old actor is set to sign a contract with GMA Artist Center, the talent management agency of GMA Network, Inc.
Richard Yap was given big break on television via ABS-CBN.
He became famous for his Papa Chen character in My Binondo Girl in 2011, and became very popular when he became the leading man of Jodi Sta. Maria in Be Careful With My Heart which has been watched on Kapamilya Network for more than two years.
His last TV assignment on ABS-CBN was via Kadenang Ginto in 2019.
On July 11, 2020, he was the celebrity player in the “Bawal Judgmental” segment of Eat Bulaga! which gave an idea to television viewers about his possible transfer to GMA-7.
It was a big challenge for Richard to move to GMAAC because it happened amid the coronavirus pandemic and after losing the franchise of his former home network.
Fans and supporters of Richard Yap are excited about the changes that will happen in his acting career and the programs that Kapuso Network will give him.
