Recently, a video of a great grandpa went viral as he met his great grand child for the first time. Before seeing his great grand child, the elderly man could be seen walking slowly with a can, back arched, and taking his time.

What’s more impressive is that he immediately wanted to carry the baby. At that moment, the elderly man seemed to have gotten a boost in his strength as he walked away carrying his great grandchild with seemingly no problems.

His granddaughter even mentioned the walking cane but at that point, it really didn’t matter for the elderly man. Here is the video posted on Reddit by user LatashaBouie:

After seeing the video, netizens recalled their most memorable moments with their grandparents as well. Here are some of their comments:

When I was 4, I was spending weekend with my grandparents. I remember I wanted to go play in the sandbox but it was raining outside. So my grandpa actually went outside, grabbed a bucket of wet sand and OVEN DRIED it. Then he put a piece of plastic sheet in the middle of the living room and arranged the sand onto the sheet so my spoiled self can play with sand when it’s raining.” – trufflenkaDeMayo

That is so fudging cute !!!t this is making me miss my grandpa 😭😭😭 he’s the sweetest man and laughs at his own corny jokes. Everyone loves him.” – irena92

“I was 8 and feel off my bike one day and got a nasty ankle injury my great grandmother who was 87 carried me 200 yards to the house and then made me dinner before my parents got there to take me to the Dr. I swear it’s just that generation. They are incredibly resilient in extreme times. Grandchildren have power over people it’s incredible.” – Zkenny13
