Dennis Regino Magloyuan Magdaraog or popularly known as April Boy Regino was considered among the iconic singers of the country. He always wore a baseball cap in public as a trademark.

But on Sunday, November 29, the music industry startled following the news of his death.

Many were saddened by the apparent death of the singer.

Meanwhile, here are some things that you might not know about April Boy Regino.

Biography:

April Boy Regino was born in Marikina on April 9, 1961.

He was the oldest of three brothers, namely Vingo and Jimmy, who are members of the novelty group April Boys.

Career Highlights:

Eventually, he migrated to the United States and was based there as an entertainer to the Filipino-American community.

In 2015, he returned to music with his brand new album and a new music company, GMA Records.

Love Life:

He was married to Madel Regino with whom he had a son named JC who also followed his footsteps of becoming a singer and at the same time a composer.

Health and Death:

It was in 2009 when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer but after five years of battling the disease,he was declared cancer-free.

However, two years later, he suffered from diabetic retinopathy, which is an eye condition that can cause vision loss and blindness in people with diabetes. And on Sunday, he finally joined his creator.
