Nanay Gloria Subong, the Mothed of Pokwang, Died At 80
POKWANG – The Kapatid comedienne confirmed on social media that her mother, Gloria Subong, died.
Our parents are the people in our lives who can never be replaced by anyone. Their blood runs in our veins and, in most cases, there is no greater love in this world than the love of a father and a mother to their children.
That is the reason why children wanted to give back to their parents when it is their time to work. The unconditional love of a parent and their sacrifices have opened hearts and minds of their children to want nothing but the best life for them.
In the Philippine showbiz industry, one of the celebrities who is always vocal about her love for her mother is comedienne Pokwang. She has always been vocal of working for her family and her worries for the safety of her mom most especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic now.
The comedienne was under the ABS-CBN Network for several years and recently accepted an offer from TV5. She’s always been vocal that she needs work to support the needs of her family.
Recently, Pokwang took to the social media a sad news – her mother, Nanay Gloria Subong, died. She was 80 years old when she passed away.
On Twitter, the comedienne stressed that she keeps on working despite the risks due to the pandemic because she wanted to lengthen the life of her mother. She expressed her gratitude to her for all the love and care she has for her children and grandchildren.
On Instagram, she also posted a photo of her together with Nanay Gloria. In her caption, she tagged her mother as “the best nanay” in the world.
Rest in peace, Mrs. Gloria Subong, and condolences to the family.
