Poor Old Man ‘Tatay Romie’ Selling Aprons to Earn Money Received Help From Kind-Hearted Netizens
The poor old man identified as Fred “Tatay Romie”Cinco selling aprons to survive received help from kind-hearted netizens.
Tatay Romie goes viral on social media after his photos while selling aprons along the road despite his old age and amid the coronavirus pandemic have been posted online.
The 80-year-old grandpa together with his 70-year-old wife, Corazon are roaming around the streets to support the financial necessities of their family along with their four grandchildren.
A young student named AJ Mirandilla launched a fund campaign to provide financial assistance for the poor grandpa. The campaign went successful and Tatay Romie receives grocery packages, rice, fruits, vegetables, and even a wheelchair.
A Facebook user named Nikki Marielle Efren Eviota has shared the video footage of goods given to the old man. Tatay Romie also received cash aside from the grocery products.
Cinco’s grandchildren also received a mobile phone and a pocket WiFi for their online classes. The poor grandpa also wished to have a dentures.

“Kumakatok po kami sa mga may mabubuting loob para kay Tatay Romie at kay Nanay Corazon, si Tatay Romie po ay naglalako ng apron sa tapat ng Zabarte Mall.
May mga taong nagpaabot na ng kanilang tulong at ito ay ipinaabot na kina Nanay at Tatay ang mga ito. Sila ay hinandugan na ng groceries at cash. Si Tatay Romie ay 80 years old at 71 naman si Nanay Corazon.
Sa darating na Oktubre 18 ay 81 years old na si Tatay at ang tanging hiling lang niya ay pustiso. Nais namin na matulungan si tatay sa hiling niyang ito. May kalakihan ang halaga na kakailanganin kaya’t kami ay humihingi ng tulong sa kahit magkanong halaga upang maisakatuparan ang hiling na ito ni Tatay.
