Park Seo-joon was asked during a virtual interview last October 28, 2020, about his Filipino fans as he apparently said in an interview that he didn’t know that he had a lot of followers in the Philippines.

According to him, it was surprising because he didn’t take on a project expecting love and popularity, adding that he’s also fascinated because their languages were different.

Park Seo-joon also said that he’s most thankful for the amount of support he’s receiving from Filipino fans while it felt surreal.

I don’t think I really feel it until now. It still doesn’t feel real. It was also amusing but most of all I’m very grateful”, Park Seo-joon said.

When asked why he thought the South Korean drama was a hit overseas, Park Seo-joon said that he would think that anyone in the world could relate to the human feelings and emotions on the situations that arouse in K-dramas.

Park Seo-joon also believed that the interest of fans was the “biggest factor” that gave rise to the popularity of South Korean dramas aside from the actors and production crew of K-dramas.

Meanwhile, Smart Communications revealed that it would bring him to the Philippines once the travel restrictions eased up due to COVID-19 pandemic.
