Gabby Concepcion paid a tribute to teachers like his late mother Lourdes “Baby” Arellano Concepcion.
At the virtual conference for the Grand Gathering for Teachers yesterday, October 1, the actor remembered his mother Baby Concepcion who passed away on August 10 at the age of 79.
He said: “Ang mga teacher kasi madalas kong nakikita noon, my mom was a teacher”
Gabby Concepcion praised the teachers’ perseverance in teaching the young people.
“Of course, we don’t understand that when we were young. But now that you’re old, kung sino yung nagtiyaga sa ‘yo, e, mas lalong mararamdaman yung sinasabi ko sa ‘yo.
“And every time I see teachers sa Gabay Guro whenever I’m doing shows, nakikita ko yung mga teacher ko, I had tutors also, seeing that in their faces.”
According to Gabby Concepcion via PEP.ph, the teachers have a special place in his heart so every time he is invited to the Gabay Guro events, he shows appreciation to the teachers.
“They have a very soft spot in my heart. Every time I have a performance, the only thing I can give back to them is my presence there, hugging and treat them this time.

Although Gabby Concepcion was not able to visit his mother in the hospital until she was pronounced dead, it seems that through his words, he’s longing for his mom.
