Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray shared her reaction to the possibility of conducting a virtual Miss Universe 2020 pageant.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, almost everything now is done online or on the internet. This new normal includes TV shows, concerts, and mass gatherings.
In line with this, Catriona was asked to share her thoughts about having virtual beauty pageants. Based on the article from The Philippines Star, the fourth Pinay Miss Universe said that she this decision depends on the pageant organizers.
Regarding this matter, the Pinay-Aussie beauty queen applied the wait-and-see attitude. She is just waiting for pageant organizers if they will push through the events or just postpone the coronation amid the health crisis.
Based on the article, international pageants such as Miss International and Miss WorldĀ have already announced that they are postponing the pageants this year. Because of this, the reigning queens will have a longer time to reign.
The Miss Universe-Philippines 2020, the first pageant which is not under the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc, will name its queen on October 25.
Meanwhile, after her pageant stints, Catriona Gray is set to venture into hosting. She, along with Piolo Pascual Maja Salvador, Donny Pangilinan, and Jake Ejercito will be hosting the new musical variety show on TV5.
Catriona said that she is looking forward to working with her co-hosts in Sunday Noontime Live, as well as to perform with them.
Previously, the Pinay beauty queen has appeared in several Kapamilya shows including ASAP Natin āTo which is on the same time slot with her new show in the Kapatid network.
SNL is set to premiere on October 18, Sunday, from 12 noon to 2 PM.
