Several cast of Ang Huling El Bimbo: The Musical reacted to the debut single of controversial Pop Stage winner CJ Villavicencio.
The young singer was criticized after he allegedly imitated the song Pare Ko which has been remake in the musical of El Bimbo.
But according to him in his apology, “there was no intention whatsoever on my part to plagiarize. I am sorry if I caused undue distress, seemed disrespectful or if I have hurt the theater community.”
Ely Buendia, the vocalist of the band Eraserheads who popularized the song Ang Huling El Bimbo, also spoke about the issue.
Meanwhile, a few months after the issue, it still does not seem to disappear.

CJ recently posted a trailer for his debut single that will be released on October 23.
It received various reactions and one of the commenters was the cast of Ang Huling El Bimbo: The Musical named Teetin Villanueva.
Aside from her, a certain Kiara Dario also expressed her grievances at CJ’s single launch.
