The Pop Stage judge Lani Misalucha has reacted to the alleged plagiarism in the online singing competition.

Recently, The Pop Stage grand winner CJ Villavicencio was heavily criticized for allegedly plagiarising the musical arrangements and concepts of Ang Huling El Bimbo: The Musical.

But in a public apology released by CJ Villavicencio, he stressed that he has no intention to plagiarize certain scores from the hit musical show.

Meanwhile, Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha has responded to a netizen who commented on Matteo Guidicelli’s tweet.

After CJ won the competition, Matteo went to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein he congratulates the singer for winning the show.

But a netizen commented and noted that CJ doesn’t deserve to win the title.

This prompted Lani Misalucha to react: “Thank you for your comment. Yes the team is doing something about it.”
