86 Burial Attendees Got Hospitalized Due to Food Poisoning
Around 86 burial attendees got hospitalized after allegedly eating the sandwich served during the event in Catanduanes.
Over the past few decades, numerous cases of food poisoning incidents in the country. Some people have been hospitalized and few of them have died after consuming contaminated foods.
The health authorities have also advised the public to be more careful with the food they are eating especially during occasions.
On Tuesday (October 27, 2020), it has been reported that around 86 people who attend a burial in Catanduanes reportedly suffered stomach ache, fever, vomiting, and diarrhea after eating sandwiches.
The affected attendees were brought to the hospital for immediate treatment and medication. The victims came from San Andres and Virac in Catanduanes. The authorities said that patients might be a victim of food poisoning.
The authorities are still investigating the incident and called the attention of catering service who served the food during the burial.
