7-Eleven Philippines joined BIDA Solusyon Campaign Of DOH

With the common goal of discussing the pandemic at the barangay level, 7-Eleven Philippines had partnered with the Department of Health’s BIDA Solusyon campaign.

This, as the BIDA Solusyon campaign was a call to all sectors to comply with standard health protocols — including the wearing of face shields and face masks, one-meter physical distancing, and regular and proper handwashing — especially when out in public in order to contain the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

BIDA Solusyon Campaign

In a press release, the Department of Health stated that the Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC), the exclusive licensor of 7-Eleven Philippines, had partnered with DOH’s BIDA Solusyon Campaign.

A part of the partnership would have the Philippine Seven Corporation promoting the BIDA message in very strategic places — including their 24/7 convenience stores.

What could make a significant dent in the campaign against coronavirus disease, according to the Department of Health, was the data utilization that the Philippine Seven Corporation would employ in order to guide the local government units in making informed decisions.

The Philippine Seven Corporation’s information campaign will be displaying active cases per barangay in their 7-Eleven stores everyday and also giving updates regarding the increase or decrease in the number of active cases as well.

Victor Paterno, the President and CEO at the Philippine Seven Corporation, revealed the reason for collaborating with the Department of Health’s BIDA Solusyon campaign.

According to Paterno, the Philippine Seven Corporation believed in transparency and reopening of the economy, adding that the company also believed in physical distancing and being careful.

Every barangay would know what its active cases were, and they know that they need to be more careful“, Paterno said.
