The Department of Transportation has start to implement the “No Beep card, no ride” policy as a part of the cashless transactions. The program aims to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus disease among commuters, according to Transportation Assistant Secretary Steve Pastor.

“We want to make sure that commuters along EDSA will have a safer and comfortable travel, while at the same time providing them a more seamless and efficient system of public transport,” Pastor said.
