Xian Lim goes fishing in Manila Bay
Xian Lim took to the image-sharing site Instagram wherein he shared his fishing experience in Manila Bay.
Earlier, the 31-year-old actor went to Manila Bay to do fishing. Fortunately, he was able to catch one.
“I had the privilage of learning how to fish in Manila bay earlier today. Kuya mangingisda taught me his own style and eventually, with enough patience…I caught one!,” he said in the caption.
His post was then flooded with reactions from the netizens.
Meanwhile, many were shocked after a wide stretch of powdered white sand covered the baywalk of Manila Bay.
According to DENR Undersecretary Benny Antiporda, the restoration of Manila Bay aims to promote environmental awareness and cleanliness.
In a statement, he stressed that there are three objectives behind the restoration of the natural harbor; “to see is to believe,” “to smell is to believe,” and “to smell is to believe.”
Last week, DENR started putting “white sand” on Manila Bay which is actually dolomite boulders from Cebu that were crushed and brought to Manila.
The goal of DENR is to allow the beachgoers to feel the Boracay essence via a one-hectare walkable area in Manila Bay.
