According to him, he and other staff of ABS-CBN newscast TV Patrol were placed under quarantine after one of the show’s make-up artists tested positive for the dreaded disease.

He cited that the main reason why he was absent on TV Patrol because he went through quarantine and swab testing, with the results turning out negative.

“Kaya po ako nawala eh nagquarantine po ako dahil meron kaming make-up artist na nagpositive, so lahat kami doon sa TV Patrol ay apektado. Nagpaswab po kami, ayun, lahat naman ay negative,” Noli de Castro said.

“Nagnegative po kaming lahat, kaya nagquarantine kami ng mga ilang araw lang. ‘Yun ang mahirap doon, kapag merong nagpositive na kasama mo,” he added according to Inquirer.net.

It can be recalled that ABS-CBN stopped airing on national television when the National Telecommunications Commission issued a cease and desist order against the giant network after it failed to renew its franchise.

On July 10, Kapamilya Network finally shut down after Congress junk its petition to renew its franchise.

The franchise denial resulted in the operation of the network to stop which prompted its management to lay off thousands of workers.

Among those who were laid off/transferred were broadcast journalists; Bernadette Sembrano, Anthony Taberna, and most recently Ted Failon.
