Although Google previously announced that Google Meet would limit all free meetings to 60 minutes starting September 30 (US time).

Google Meet March 2021

Google announced earlier this year that the company would make its video conferencing tool free to those who had a GMail account.

However, 9to5Google previously reported that Google Meet would limit all free meetings to 60 minutes (equivalent to one hour) starting on September 30, 2020 (US time).

With this, Google on Tuesday (US time) said in its statement that Google Meet was continuing unlimited Meet calls for its free Gmail users until March 31, 2021.

Google also said that there’s a 24-hour technical limitation that most shouldn’t encounter, but this was definitely a turnaround for Google to make Meet a competitive offering for regular users.
