Actress Cai Cortez has a message to those who are continuously criticizing her because of her weight.
In a recent interview with Chika Besh, the 32-year-old actress addressed the bashers who still criticize her for her weight.
“Siguro kasi kapag sinasabing mataba ako, gusto kong sabihin, ‘Day, may salamin din kami. Alam ko mataba ako, oo,” she said.
Cai Cortez also gave a message to people who pretend to be concerned about her.
“Other people naman, kunwari they mask their bulliying by being, ‘Ay, ano, concerned ako sa iyo kasi unhealthy magiging mataba.’ Wala kang alam sa buhay ko para sabihing unhealthy ako o hindi.”
Cai Cortez is the daughter of actors Rez and Candy Cortez and according to her, she grew up in a family where being “fat” was not considered a negative habit.
She stressed: “If you believe you are beautiful, you will be beautiful.”
“And if you take care of yourself, and you have respect sa sarili mo, people will see that, e. Mararamdaman nila iyon,” she added.

Cai Cortez started her showbiz career when she starred in the Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Martha Cecilia’s Kristine in 2010.
At present, she stars in the GMA show Ilaban Natin Yan! as a “Kalkalera.”
According to PEP.ph, Cai has two children with her husband Wissem Rkhami from Tunisia.
