Tribute to Manay Ichu
Former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada and Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. paid tribute to Philippine movie industry stalwart, Marichu “Manay Ichu” Vera-Perez Maceda who passed away due to a lingering illness.
Erap, one of Manay Ichu’s best friends, was deeply saddened by the passing of the icon, whose according to him, cared deeply about the workers in the Filipino film industry.
Isang taong nirerespeto at haligi ng industriya ng Pelikulang Pilipino, Marichu Vera-Perez Maceda,” he said.
Mahal na mahal kita!,” he quoted.
Meanwhile, Senator Bong Revilla also expressed his grief about the passing of Manay Ichu, whom he considers his family.
Manay Ichu’s remains were cremated on September 7 at the Arlington Memorial Chapels and Crematory on Araneta Avenue, Quezon City.
