The Department of Health (DOH) had recorded 3,544 newly-reported coronavirus cases in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. of September 15, 2020.
This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as of today.
According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #185 dated September 15, 2020, the Department of Health reported 3,544 newly-reported COVID-19 cases, wherein 3,177 out of 3,544 were recorded as “fresh” cases — reported cases occurred within the recent 14 days.
This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 269,407.
Since Friday, the Department of Health didn’t report the number of operational laboratories who successfully submitted their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System as well as the total number of operational laboratories.
However, the Department of Health on Tuesday reported that 10 operational laboratories failed to submit their data to the CDRS.

The Department of Health also reported 57,392 total active cases as stated in its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #185 dated September 15, 2020.
Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of September 15 only: Metro Manila with 690 new cases, Cavite with 305 new cases, Rizal with 201 new cases, Negros Occidental with 173 new cases, and Bulacan with 98 new cases.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 395 newly-reported recoveries and 34 newly-reported fatalities. This brought the total number of recoveries to 207,352 and total coronavirus deaths to 4,663.
