The Philippine government is already taking immediate action to provide the necessities of our countrymen. However, there are still some corrupt officials who were still stealing the fund amid the crisis.
A Facebook user named Mevelyn Parreño has expressed her disappointment towards the city government for giving expired relief goods to the people. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Parreño has shared the photos of alleged expired instant noodles, canned sardines, and rice, which is reportedly not safe for human consumption. The food packs reportedly came from the Bacolod City government.
The lady netizen lambasted the corrupt officials for keeping the goods for a long time and distribute it after the expiration date. She also expressed her sentiments that a lot of less-fortunate people are starving during this pandemic but some officials continue to perform their illegal activities.
