Route 196 officially announced its permanent closure.
Route 196 , known as a bar and live music venue that was located in Kapitunan Avenue in Quezon City, officially announced its permanent closure on Sunday.
This, as Route 196 shared a series of posts on its Facebook account saying “Alas, we’re at the end of the road for Route 196“.
In it post, Route 196 said that the bar may be walking towards a different direction “for now”, yet the bar wanted to make sure that its customers had something to always remind them of their crazy ride together.

Aside from announcing its permanent closure, the bar also announced that it was selling “farewell” T-shirts that was designed by Rob Cham.
Route 196 said in its post that take the bar with them in their next journey, adding that for 15 years, “all roads led to Route 196“.
Although the bar didn’t mentioned the main reason for its permanent closure, COVID-19 had struck the food and entertainment sector hard, with some restaurants shuttering as coronavirus infection fears and community quarantine measures kept its customers away.
