Pres. Duterte Visited Jolo, Sulu Following Tragic Incident Last August 24

DUTERTE – Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte kissed the ground in Jolo, Sulu where soldiers and civilians died.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic that is rocking the healthcare system of the Philippines now, there are several other unfortunate incidents that are happening in the different areas of the country.

Last August 24, 2020, tragic incidents took place in Jolo, Sulu and it cost the lives of at least eleven (11) military men and civilians. The first incident took place at 11:54 in the morning inside the Paradise Food Shop.

The said food store is located along the Serrantes Street in Barangay Walled City. It is beside the Syntax computer shop. The authorities are not taking out of the angle the military truck parked in the area is the target.

After an hour, another unfortunate incident took place. It happened at the Goteckleng Building. The said structure is around 100 meters away from the Paradise Food Shop.

The incidents left several families grieving and crying for justice over the death of their loved ones. Currently, the investigation is still ongoing.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte recently visited the area in Jolo, Sulu where the incidents took place. He kissed the ground where the military and civilians died.

According to the report, the President also led a candle-lighting event. The incidents also left several individuals including members of the military wounded.

Pres. Duterte visited the wounder military and condoled with the loved ones of those whose lives were taken by the tragic incidents.
