Bea Alonzo shares how she feels 1 Month after ABS-CBN Franchise Denial

Bea Alonzo is still feeling this a month after the ABS-CBN franchise denial

Actress Bea Alonzo shared how she feels even after a month since the franchise application of ABS-CBN was denied.

Due to the vote of 70 congressmen to deny the franchise application of the Kapamilya network, the TV giant was to stop its broadcast even on stations affiliated to it.

Fortunately, some employees and talents of ABS-CBN were offered to do projects on TV5 and other media companies. For Bea, what happened to her home network is still saddening her.

“We’re still grieving. But I believe that everything happens for a reason. This experience is teaching us something. Now is the best time to reflect and take care of one another,” the actress said talking to Philstar.

Amid the pandemic and the denial of ABS-CBN franchise, Bea Alonzo has kept herself busy doing charity works. She helped Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis in Shop n’ Share, a fundraising project wherein celebrities sell their branded items for mass testing.

“Shop n’ Share was successful. But I won’t take credit for that. I just helped. Angel and Anne were the ones who really worked hard for that drive,” Bea shared.

Aside from this, the actress has established her own organization called I AM HOPE amid the difficult time in the Philippines. Bea said that she is very focused on this.

“At first, our goal was just to help the frontliners during ECQ, but now we have transitioned into helping the underprivileged through livelihood programs and we aim to help the children with their education. We are in this for the long haul,” she added.

Last month, Bea Alonzo’s foundation donated disinfectants and relief goods to Pasig City. Her photo with Mayor Vico Sotto went controversial as she revealed that the young politician is her mother’s favorite.

  1. Well done Ms Bea.. to do charity works is a corporal works of mercy. This moment, there are so many social media can use to see our artist from ABSCBN. People wont forgot this network forever because of the professional artist and singers. But the sadness part those people behind . We hope someone will assist them to find a job. We hope someone will by the network and change the name to continue the business as usual.
