Real-life Darna Angel Locsin took to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein she chides the government after it denied the health worker’s call to shift Metro Manila quarantine status to ECQ.
Recently, a group of health workers wrote a letter addressed to President Rodrigo Duterte as they seek to return the quarantine status of Metro Manila from a relaxed GCQ to stricter ECQ.
This will also serve as a “breather” among exhausted health care workers who are overwhelmed by the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.

However, Duterte denied their petition and decided to shift the quarantine status of Metro Manila from relaxed General Community Quarantine (GCQ) to Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).
Meanwhile, in her latest IG story, she chides the government’s action opposing the request of health workers.
Prior to her post, Angel Locsin paid tribute to health workers who frontline the country’s battle with the dreaded Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
“Patawad kung minsan ay pasaway. Ngunit nais iparating, kakampi nyo kami, health workers. Magdodoble-ingat para makagaan sa pasanin kahit paano. Wag sanang panghinaan ang inyong loob.
Mahal namin kayo. Nakasuporta kami sa inyo. Kailangan namin kayo. kayong mga bayani sa giyerang ito. Maraming salamat sa sakripisyo para sa amin.”
