The Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation released an official statement as the foundation mourned the death of Zindzi Mandela.
This, after Zindzi Mandela, the daughter of Winnie Madikizela – Mandela and Nelson Mandela, died at the age of 59. Zindzi’s cause of death wasn’t revealed as of this writing.

In its official statement, the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation said that Zindzi was “regarded” by a lot of people as “a child of the nation”.
Moreover, the foundation said that Zindzi’s death, according to a report on PEOPLE, means South Africa lost an “important generational link” connecting their divided history to the promise of a “better” and “more inclusive” tomorrows.

Zindzi was the daughter of Winnie Madikizela – Mandela and Nelson Mandela.
According to the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Zindzi died at a Johannesburg hospital. However, the cause of her death wasn’t revealed as of this writing.
Meanwhile, the Mandela family released a statement saying that they will announce the schedule of memorial service and funeral arrangements “in the course of the week”.
