Do you still remember actress Princess Punzalan?

Princess Punzalan rose to fame in her titular role as Selina Matias in the now-defunct top-rated TV series, “Mula Sa Puso” starring Claudine Barretto and Rico Yan.

In the series, she portrayed the role of the antagonist Selina Matias, who’s dubbed as the “Terminator of Mula Sa Puso”- making her bag the PMPC Star Awards for TV’s Best Drama Actress in 1998.

Later on, she starred in several television shows and movies wherein she usually played the antagonist role.

She last appeared on the Philippine TV via the 2016 ABS-CBN series, “The Story of Us” starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.

She’s previously married to Wowowin host Willie Revillame and in 2005, she tied the knot with an American guy named Jason Field, a marketing professional whom she had a daughter.

After leaving the limelight, she pursued a career in the United States and worked in a restaurant and as a nurse.

But what do you think happened to her then?

According to the entertainment website PEP.ph, Princess Punzalan left her job to return to her first love, acting.

From being known locally, she is now making a name for herself on the international scene.

In 2019, she starred in the movie, Yellow Rose alongside fellow Filipinas Lea Salonga and Eva Noblezada and is directed by Diane Paragas.

In May 2019, the movie earned three prestigious awards from the 35th Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, Bentonville Film Festival, and CAAMFest 37.

In September 2019, it gained the Best Narrative Feature Award (U.S. Cinema) and the Audience Award for Best Feature at the 23rd Annual Urbanworld Film Festival.

Yellow Rose also paved her way to star in the Hollywood movie entitled “The Interview” however, it was postponed due to COVID-19.
