PCOO Suspends Work After PCOO Employee Confirmed Positive for COVID-19
PCOO EMPLOYEE – An employee of the Presidential Communications Operations Office tested positive for COVID-19.
The Philippines is one of the over 200 nations and territories affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This coronavirus disease has infected 68,898 people in the country.
Out of the said total number, the Department of Health (DOH) has recorded 1,835 deaths and 23,072 recoveries. Unfortunately, there are still fresh cases daily and many hospitals are already in full capacity.
This coronavirus disease that was first recorded in China exempts no one. Several cases proved that even the healthy ones can be infected and not only the senior citizens and those with pre-existing medical conditions.
The COVID-19 is known to bear flu-like symptoms such as fever, breathing difficulties, and cought. However, a person may also be asymptomatic or showing no symptoms at all but positive for the disease. Some patients suffer from mild signs while others got severe ones.
Several showbiz celebrities in the Philippines were infected by COVID-19. There are also politicians as well as government employees who contracted the said disease.

Recently, a Presidential Communications Operations Office or PCOO employee tested positive for COVID-19. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the office decided to suspend work for the disinfection of the New Executive Building.
Following a PCOO employee testing positive for COVID-19, the suspension of work in the office will start today, July 21. Based on the report, the work will resume on Monday, July 27.
Reportedly, those who are primary and secondary contacts of the employee who tested positive for coronavirus will also undergo swab testing.
