Catriona Gray Is Now The Ambassador Of DTI’s OTOP Program

Another feather in the cap of Catriona Gray

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is now the ambassador of One Town, One Product (OTOP) program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Aside from winning the crown from the most-prestigious beauty pageant in the world, Catriona also supports various organizations that helps the welfare of those in need. Even before becoming the Miss Universe 2 years ago, the beauty queen has been helping already the children in Tondo, Manila through the Young Focus Philippines.

Just recently, she and boyfriend Sam Milby launched the music video of her song “We’re In This Together” to raise funds for her charitable endeavors.

Following that, Catriona Gray is also supporting the OTOP program of DTI. Based on the official site of the said government department, the program aims to promote the products from the town, cities, and regions of the Philippines. This also aims to provide funding for small businesses.

DTI will be working hand in hand with Catriona Gray in promoting this program. Based on the recent Twitter post of Kapamilya entertainment reporter MJ Felipe dated July 21, the beauty queen received certificate of conferment from the DTI Secretary Mon Lopez in a ceremony.

She is officially the endorser of the OTOP program. For the Fil-Aussie beauty queen, it is a good way to promote the Philippines’ own fabric.

Catriona also said that through this, support will be provided for the local communities and their livelihood. She also perceived that this program will beneficial for the industry of handicrafts, arts, and culture thru weaving.
