LTO-Bacolod temporarily closed its office for two days due to this.
LTO-BACOLOD — The Land Transportation Office temporarily closed its office in Bacolod City for two days in order to disinfect the whole compound.
This, after a COVID-positive patient from Victorias went to the said office from July 16 to 17 in order to process documents. With this, the said office will be closed until Thursday.
LTO-Bacolod head Reuben Tampus said in an interview on Aksyon Firing Line that he directed 46 employees of LTO 6, security guard, and two police officers that were assigned at the said office to undergo home quarantine.

Tampus also said that the LTO 6 had a “special communication” with Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran requesting that all employees be subjected to undergo a swab test.
Moreover, Tampus appealed to those people who entered the said office last July 16 and 17 to resort to local government to undergo swab tests in order for them to ensure that they’re COVID-free.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health on Tuesday reported over 83,000 total cases of coronavirus disease wherein 55,109 were active cases, 26,617 patients recovered, and 1,947 patients died due to COVID-19.
