Former child star John Manalo took to social media wherein he shared a recent incident that almost cost his life after a holdupper pointed a gun at him while buying food on Friday, July 3.
According to John Manalo, the holdupper first pointed the gun at the chicken seller before the suspect pointed the gun towards him.
“Bumibili ako ng Baliwag sa Concepcion tapos biglang na hold up yung store. Tinutukan ng baril yung nagtatadtad ng liempo at manok ko. Natutukan din ako. Sobrang bilis ng pangyayari. Di ko alam rereact ko nung una. Nahihiya lang ako kasi nakita sigurong tumatakbo ako sa CCTV,” he said.
He shared with his fans how he felt at that time.
“Ganon pala feeling pag narinig mo ‘yung kasa ng baril. Sobrang kalmado lang nung holdaper,” he said.
John Manalo said no one was killed in the collision because the local authorities responded immediately to the area.
“Guys, sa mga nag tatanong safe naman kaming lahat. May mga rumespondeng mga authorities agad. Walang nasaktan,” he said.
“Hassle lang kasi sobrang nag-crave talaga ako sa baliwag lechon at chicken,” he quipped.
John Manalo rose to fame in the long-running Kapamilya kiddie gag show “Goin ‘Bulilit.”
According to the entertainment website, Push, his acting skills became more prominent when he appeared in various episodes of “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”
