The life story of Rhemuel Lunio or popularly known as DJ Loonyo will be featured in the brand-new episode of Kapuso drama anthology, Magpakailanman this coming Saturday, July 18.
GMA-7 actor Jak Roberto will portray the role of DJ Loonyo.
The episode is entitled “Dance King ng Quarantine: The DJ Loonyo Story” and is the first-ever fresh episode of Magpakailanman amid community quarantine.
Aside from Jak Roberto, Lovely Rivero, Jong Cuenco, and Liezel Lopez also join the cast on the upcoming episode of Magpakailanman, directed by Zig Dulay.
Meanwhile, DJ Loonyo came to prominence with his viral Tiktok videos including his cover of Rachel Platten’s hit single, “Fight Song” which has been dubbed as “Frontliners Challenge.”
But before he made a name for himself in the video-sharing platform, the Tiktok star made headlines a month ago following his controversial remark about COVID-19 mass testing in the country.
His statement via a live interview was not commended by the netizens with some criticizing his “knowledge” about mass testing.
DJ Loonyo was also heavily criticized by some netizens over his viral video about positivity.
The dancer who’s being compared to Kapuso actor-dancer Mark Herras (dubbed as Badboy of the Dancefloor) is being rooted with actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi.
Despite being trending on the micro-blogging site Twitter from time to time as the so-called “LooVana,” they are yet to reveal the real score between them.
The 28-year-old dancer is currently in Hangzhou, China.
