Angelica Panganiban took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter wherein she expressed her sentiments on the retrenchment of ABS-CBN employees.
Earlier, ABS-CBN announced that it is set to layoff employees this coming August following network shutdown and franchise denial.
Many were shocked and saddened by the news including Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban who went to social media to vent out her thoughts about the retrenchment of ABS-CBN employees.

“Nanahimik dahil hindi kayang buuin ng salita ang nararamdaman ko. Galit, takot, pangangamba. Ilang buwan nang nag iisip paano na ang kasamahan namin sa trabaho. Ang pamilya nila. At dumating na ang araw na napakahirap tanggapin.”
“Serbisyo para sa bayan ang dapat na inuuna ng mambabatas natin. Sa ginawa nila, sarili nila ang inuna nila. Sa totoo lang, hindi po namin responsibilidad ang mga empleyado na nawalan ng trabaho. Pero nandito kami. Nagsasalita, para sa kanila. Bakit? Kasi siguro yun ang makatao.”
“Tratuhin niyo naman kaming mga tao. Kaming lahat na nawalan ng trabaho. Nawalan ng tahanan. Paano niyo kayang sikmurain na pag tawanan ang kapwa ninyo pilipino na nawalan ng kabuhayan? Pilipino sa kapwa pilipino na ang naglalaban laban. Tama pa ba yon?”
“Hindi namin ikakamatay ang masasakit ninyong salita laban sa amin. Pero, ikakamatay ng marami sa kasamahan ko at ng mga pamilya nila ang gutom na mararanasan nila sa mga darating na araw. Tapos na ang panahon para matakot.”
It was on Friday, July 10, when the House panel convened to wrap up the hearings on the renewal of the ABS-CBN franchise and to give the final decision whether to approve or deny its petition for a legislative franchise.
The Committee on Legislative Franchises joins the Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability in giving the final verdict on the ABS-CBN franchise.
The House panel has decided to deny the franchise renewal application by the country’s largest broadcasting network.
