Free laptops to be given away by Kris Aquino
Queen of All Media Kris Aquino announced that she will be giving away free laptops to Filipino students who will be studying online this school year amidst schools shut down due to the COVID-19.
Recently, the 49-year-old actress took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein she shared that she has already started buying laptops to be given away for free this coming Wednesday, July 1 via live-stream.
“Lahat ng magulang ang hangarin mapagtapos sa pag-aaral, maging maganda ang kinabukasan, at maging masaya ang mga anak nila,” Kris Aquino wrote.
According to Kris Aquino, her fans had been asking for devices especially laptops which will be used in the upcoming opening of classes in this new normal.
Last March, officials, and lawmakers crafted the “blended” educational system wherein students will be able to learn despite the pandemic through online, television, radio, and printed materials.

According to the entertainment website, Push, this will avoid students to go to their schools where a huge number of transmissions might occur.
“I want to invest in the FUTURE of the Philippines,” Kris added. “Para ito sa kinabukasan ng ating mga anak — helping their EDUCATION,” she said.
Meanwhile, it can be recalled that last month, actress Heart Evangelista has given away 550 tablets to privileged students.
