Former The Voice Kids Philippines contestant and Buwan hitmaker, JK Labajo, took to the image-sharing site, Instagram to give his reaction over fake news of his rumored death.

Earlier, Juan Karlos Labajo or popularly known as JK Labajo went to Instagram to defunct rumors of his reported “death” that became viral on social media.

“With all the speculations and rumors going around of his passing, we officially announce with a heavy heart, that Juan Karlos Labajo, a loving friend, brother, son, and lover, is still alive and ready to rock and roll. Suck it, haters,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

His Instagram post generated mixed reactions from the netizens with some expressing their witty comments.

Among who commented in the said post which was first reported by push.abs-cbn.com, is his girlfriend, model Maureen Wroblewitz.

JK Labajo rose to fame after finishing third place in the first season of The Voice Kids Philippines, following Darren Espanto in second place and Lyka Gairanod as the champion.

The 19-year-old singer also ventured into acting.

He portrayed his own life story in the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK).

In 2014, he starred as Charles Kenneth “CK” Rodriguez in the series Hawak-Kamay and in 2015-2016, he portrayed the role of Vincent “Amboy” Mobido in Pangako Sa ‘Yo.

He became notable in the field of acting when he played the role Lucas Noble in the defunct series “A Love to Last” starring Ian Veneracion and Bea Alonzo.

But JK Labajo gained massive prominence over his top-trending hit, “Buwan” which was composed by the band he formed and named after him.
