Canadian-Filipino singer Darren Espanto has raised as much as 525,000 pesos in an online concert during his 19th birthday last May 24, 2020.
The sensational singer who rose to fame with his cover of the hit song, “Dying Inside” is currently in Calgary, Alberta in Canada.
The Facebook live of the birthday concert even reached a peak of 11,300 views.
The proceeds of the said event will go the “Pantawid Ng Pag-ibig” campaign of ABS-CBN which seeks to give relief/assistance to Filipinos amid the COVID-19 crisis.
Fans and supporters of the young singer who started his singing career via talent search, “The Voice Kids Philippines” generated massive admiration all over the world especially his relatives in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
Netizens who were able to witness the said concert also expressed their wishes to Darren.
Gary Valenciano and Moira Dela Torre also made an online guesting during the live birthday concert of Darren Espanto.
However, no Jayda Avanzado or Cassy Legazpi, who was linked to the young singer, appeared to greet him on his birthday.

According to pep.ph, the two weren’t in good terms. Darren Espanto’s mother filed a case against JK Labajo following some controversy. However, Darren is yet to face JK personally to settle the said issue.
