Honduras President Juan Orlando Hernandez & Wife Infected w/ COVID-19 Amid Pandemic

Honduras President Juan Orlando Hernandez and his wife, Ana Garcia, tested positive for COVID-19.

The world is fighting a pandemic now, the 2019 coronavirus or COVID-19. The World Health Organization (WHO) said that it is going to be a long-term battle against this disease.

More than 200 countries and territories across the globe have confirmed cases of this coronavirus that was first recorded in China. It was in December 2019 when people in Wuhan City, Hubei Province started getting sick.

The said coronavirus is known to bear flu-like symptoms including fever, cough, and breathing difficulties. However, a COVID-19 positive person may also show no symptoms at all.

Several American countries have recorded cases of COVID-19. This disease exempts no one regardless of age, health status, gender, and social status in life.

In Central America, Honduras President Juan Orlando Hernandez and his wife tested positive for COVID-19. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, two (2) aides of the President are also positive for coronavirus.

According to Francis Contreras, the spokesman of the Honduran President, he is treated for pneumonia in a military hospital. Based on the report, Contreras assured that the President is in a good condition.

Ana Garcia, the wife of Honduras President Juan Orlando Hernandez, is also positive for COVID-19 but she is asymptomatic. As for the 51-year-old President, he previously announced through a televised news that he had mild symptoms.

Hernandez was advised by his doctors to take a rest. Despite it, the Honduran President is working remotely.
