Grab Food Rider Continue To Deliver Order After Collapsing Due to Sickness

Grab Food Rider Collapsed Along The Road But Continue To Deliver Order

A dedicated Grab Food rider continues to deliver the order of his customer after he collapsed along the road due to sickness.

Nowadays, Grab Food workers are considered as frontliner because of their line of duty amid the health crisis. They continue to deliver food just to serve the public and earn money to feed their families.

However, Grab riders should also consider their health although they are working to earn money.

A Facebook user named “Kelvin Tay” has shared the heartbreaking photos of a Grab Food employee who collapsed along the road due to illness. The photos garnered various reactions from the netizens.

Kelvin saw the rider suddenly collapsed with his motorcycle and he looked pale and his body was cold. Tay said that the delivery worker is suffering from a severe stomach pain while doing his delivery job.

The concerned netizen assisted the employee and picked up the motorcycle. He also told the rider to rest but he insisted to complete his last delivery. He escorted the delivery employee to its destination since it was the least he can do for him.

On my way home after sending Kaleb to school, met this grab food rider who suddenly collapse with his bike…. Went down to see if he’s OK, realised he looked very pale and body was cold. He kept saying his stomach pain. Help him up and helped picked up his bike (at this moment, I was thankful I went through 2B training before, lol). Asked him to go back and rest, but he insisted to send his last order before going home. I told him, I’ll escort him home and send his last order for him. Only then he was willing to go home.

Objective of this msg is to share the hard work of Bros and Sis doing delivery… Times like this is not easy. Sometimes if they are slightly late, its definitely not intentional. I hope Singaporeans will have more emphaty towards them, especially times like now when delivery is on a rise. Coming from delivery background myself, I know and understand how tough it can be. But always remember… Health comes 1st. If really feeling unwell, take the day to rest and nurse your health back. Hopefully this young man will recover soon and be back on his delivery route again…..
