Jeepney Accidentally Hits Motorcycle Rider, Motorist Suffers Wounds & Injuries
NAGCARLAN, Laguna – A motorcycle rider suffered wounds and injuries after a fast-moving jeepney hit him along Barangay Sta. Lucia.
Earlier this week, it has been reported that a fast moving jeepney accidentally hit a motorcycle rider along the provincial road in Barangay Sta. Lucia. The rider endured wounds and injuries due to the incident.
Police Master Sgt. Benedict Mercado advised the family of the motorist to file a case against the jeepney driver but the family decided to settle the issue. The victim’s family and the driver had an agreement regarding the case.
“Mabilis itong jeep. Antimano, dapat kapag [nasa] pedestrian [lane] ka, dapat magme-menor ka… Inadvise ko ang family ng victim na magsampa ng kaso pero sa sarili nilang desisyon na nagkaroon sila ng agreement, both parties at notaryado naman ang kanilang agreement,” Mercado said.
The jeepney reportedly came from Nagcarlan and currently heading to Sta. Cruz to get his products before the incident happened. The motorist obtained minor injuries and has been discharged from the hospital on Friday (June 5, 2020).
