DOH Reports New Cases Of Coronavirus Disease In PH For Today, June 26, 2020

DOH reported new cases of coronavirus disease in the Philippines as of today, June 26, 2020.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the Philippines as of today, June 26, 2020.

This, as the Department of Health reported 1,006 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) wherein 788 were classified as “fresh” cases and 218 were classified as “late” cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 34,073 as of 4:00 p.m. of June 26, 2020.

For “fresh” cases, 266 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, 251 were from Central Visayas, and the remaining 271 came from different areas in the Philippines. And for the “late” cases, on the other hand, 113 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, seven were from Central Visayas, and the remaining 98 were from different areas in the Philippines.

According to the Department of Health, the fresh cases recorded on Friday were based on its test results released to patients within the last three days, while the late cases recorded were based on the test results released to patients four days ago or more.

Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health also reported 274 additional recoveries and 12 new fatalities due to COVID-19. This brought the total number of recoveries to 9,182 and total fatalities to 1,224.

Moreover, the Department of Health reported 22,947 total number of active cases as of June 25, 2020, wherein 791 were asymptomatic, 22,019 have mild conditions, 113 have severe conditions, and 24 have critical conditions.
