Angel Locsin still ‘no comment’ on body-shaming issue
Kapamilya star Angel Locsin kept mum on the body-shaming thrown against her the past few days in line with her previous photos that made rounds online.
Last week, Angel Locsin has taken the internet by storm with her photos that were taken when she went to Mauban in Quezon for the taping of her show “Iba Yan” directed by her fiancé Neil Arce.
Her public service program (Iba Yan) that highlights inspiring stories of compassion and generosity among Filipinos amid the COVID-19 pandemic, premieres on Kapamilya Channel.
But on Tuesday, June 23 she left a cryptic post on her Instagram Story that caught the netizens’ attention.
She posted a quote on her image-sharing account that speaks about “crab-mentality.”
“Blowing out someone else’s candle doesn’t make yours shine any brighter,” she noted.
While she gained massive criticism especially with the bashers, she earned the respect of some netizens including celebrities.
Among the stars who went to social media to defend Angel Locsin is actress Kylie Padilla that posted, “Angel Locsin has nothin to prove. She is two-time FHM Philippines’ sexiest woman and our real life Darna.”
“Beautiful inside and out,” she commented.
According to PEP.ph, singers Bryan Termulo and “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” All Star Grand Resbak contender Sofronio Vasquez also took to social media in defense of the actress.
Meanwhile, the actress making rounds anew as she flaunts a slimmer body in her latest photo.
