Chanda Romero: “My dear Mother is in dire need of plasma.”
Veteran actress Chanda Romero is asking for plasma donation for her mother Meding who’s currently battling COVID-19.
The mother of the 66-year-old actress was confined at Cebu Doctor’s University Hospital after being infected with coronavirus disease 2019.
“My Mother is now confined in Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital due to Covid19. We are in dire need of plasma from Covid patients who have recovered,” she noted in a statement on Tuesday.
“If there is anyone out there who is willing to donate plasma, please PM me your contact number and we will call you. We shall be very grateful for the help you can extend to our family. God bless you,” she added.
Earlier, Chanda Romero pleads anew for the plasma donation of her mother.
“My dear Mother is in dire need of plasma. Please help us,” she said.
COVID-19 survivors may donate blood plasma- which is said to have anti-bodies that could fight the coronavirus.

Recently, President Rodrigo Duterte announced to shift the quarantine status of Cebu City from GCQ to Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) starting June 15 up to June 30 due to the ongoing threats of COVID-19.
According to PEP.ph, as of June 18, 2020, Cebu City has already recorded 4,137 cases of COVID-19– naming the city as the epicenter of coronavirus pandemic in the Visayas as the cases continue to surge.
