The music video of Blackpink’s latest single, “How You Like That” has generated a whopping 86.3 million views in just 24 hours on the video-sharing site, YouTube.
How You Like That music video emerged with the biggest-ever YouTube premiere with 1.66 million “peak concurrent viewers” according to Variety.
Blackpink’s newest single was also dubbed as the fastest video to reach 100 million views on the video streaming platform.
The South Korean all-female group also reclaimed the previous record set by BTW as the most “24-hour views title”.
In 2019, BTS recorded 74.6M views for their single “Boy With Luv” after being posted on YouTube in just 24 hours.
According to GMA Network, this is not the first time that Blackpink made a phenomenal record on social media.
Last April 2019, it earned a whopping 56.7 million views in just 24 hours for the song “Kill This Love”, breaking the record set by Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next”.
During the release of Blackpink’s latest single, it earned a whopping 460,000 views on the video-sharing site, after being uploaded for about 30 minutes.
Blackpink’s How You Like That continues to dominate on YouTube with 157,787,534 views as of posting.
Blackpink is an all-female South Korean group that consists of Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa. The group formed by YG Entertainment debuted on August 8, 2016.
