In its statement, YG Entertainment said that after its internal investigation, the company learned hat Lisa — one of the members of BLACKPINK — was scammed by her former manager.

The company also said that due to Lisa’s wishes to have a settlement quietly, Mr. A had repaid a portion of his debt and will be repaying the remaining amount accordingly. YG also confirmed that Mr. A was no longer an employee of the company.

Following the settlement, YG apologized for “causing severe concern to many fans who love our artists” as the company was currently unsettled over Mr. A‘s actions by way of “taking ill-advantage of an artist’s trust”. YG Entertainment also said that the company felt the “significant weight of the responsibility and the misdirection of this manager.

The issuance of YG’s official statement regarding the said issue came as Market News recently reported that Lisa of BLACKPINK, was reportedly scammed KRW 1 billion by her former manager as he managed to waste it on gambling.

Earlier, an official told Market News that Lisa was vulnerable in a foreign country considering that she was a “foreign member of BLACKPINK”.
