Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo shared her birthday message for her former onscreen partner A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz.
The tandem of Bea and Lloydie is one of the most-loved onscreen partnership even though years have passed since their last movie together.
They are known as Popoy and Basha from their blockbuster movies One More Chance and A Second Chance. Aside from movies, they also worked together in several TV series. Late last year, as talks about Lloydie’s showbiz comeback, started to circulate, fans have been anticipating for their reunion movie.
Based on the previous report, Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina hinted that one of her last two movies before migrating to New Zealand will be with John Lloyd Cruz. With this, Popoy and Basha fans hoped that they will be paired once again.

Apparently, even after their projects, Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz remained as close friends. They even did an experimental film during the lockdown that brought “kilig” to their fans.
This goes to show that they haven’t ended their bond when their projects together ended. In that said experimental film, John Lloyd even shared a glimpse of his son Elias Modesto with former partner Ellen Adarna.
Apparently, the actor has been staying in Cebu. He was even spotted processing his barangay clearance in Guadalupe.
The A-list actor celebrated his birthday on June 24 and Bea Alonzo is one of his friends who greeted him. Through her Instagram Story, the actress shared her message for the birthday boy.
“Happy birthday Idan! Hintayin ko treat mo pagbalik mo!!” Bea wrote and included their photo together that was taken in one of their shoots.
