[UPDATE] Starring JC Santos, Tanghalang Pilipino’s Lam-ang musical will be streaming via online platforms starting Friday, June 12.
About Lam-ang
Lam-ang was an ethno-epic musical that reinterpreted and reimagined the oldest folk epic of Luzon, the Biag ni Lam-ang, and was inspired by the Ilocano version published by Isabelo delos Reyes and Tagalog version published by Angel Acacio and Ariel Tabag.
The said musical was previously staged at the CCP Little Theater last December 6 to 15, 2019, starring JC Santos as Lam-ang, Anna Luna as Kannoyan, Alvin Magahanoy as Batang Lam-ang, and Paw Castillo as Sumarang.
Other stars included in the said musical were Tex Ordonez-de Leon, Lhorvie Nuevo, Ybes Bagadiong, VJ Cortel, Lance Reblando, Gry Gimena, Jonathan Tadioan, Alys Serdenia, Hazel Maranan, Remus Villanueva, Raflesia Bravo, Joshua Cabiladas, Karenina Ng, Francis Gatmaytan, Rapah Manalo, Gabo Tolentino, Miah Canton, JV Ibesate, and Antonette Go.
The Lam-ang musical was written by Fitz Edward Torres Bitana who served as a co-director, Eljay Castro Deldoc for the new book and lyrics, and composer Jen Darlene Torres for the lyrics.
Also, the people from the creative team behind the musical were Director Marco Viaña for the set design, TJ Ramos for the musical direction and sound design, JM Cabling for choreography, Bonsai Cielo for the costume design, and Meliton Roxas Jr. for the lighting design.

As reported on TheaterFansManila, you can watch the production via iWant app and website and via YouTube channel of Tanghalang Pilipino from May 30 to June 30, 2020.
However, TheaterFansManila reported that the said musical was rescheduled to another date, which was from June 12 to July 12.
